There’s no place like home
Good morning friends from back home in Springfield, Missouri. Today’s message with my first cup of the day is, “There’s no place like home.”
It was a lovely trip to Ohio. I don’t know about you, but I usually need a vacation after a vacation. :) It’s always great to be home and relax a bit before heading back to the regulars of life.
Our original plan was to drive to Dayton last night and then head home today. Instead, we went ahead and drove all the way, making it back early this morning. We were in rainstorms between Columbus and Dayton. My dad said, “Watch for tornados. This warm weather is the right condition for them to form.”
We woke up this morning to discover that Dayton was hit by a tornado and the situation is terrible for the entire community. We are thankful to have skipped that situation and be safe at home. Praying for everyone in Dayton to be free from danger in their homes today.
May you always have a home, a place of shelter and rest. May you always be able to say, “There’s no place like home.”
